Anything under a decade can usually be done on one hand; however, remember that years will change the final date depending on leap years. Since today is Monday, we'll need to account for a full week before hitting weekend days. I usually just start with days of the week then move onto months. We’re 18 days from the end of January, so being in the middle of of the month, 3 days will remain in January and we don’t need to worry about adjusting months or years.. From there, we can then count forward by years and adjust for the fiscal calendar to get our 13 Jan 2028.

Just calculate it: Start with a time from today calculator. 3 years is easiest solved on a calculator. For ours, we've already factored in the days in + all number of days in each month and the number of days in 2025. Simply add your years and choose the length of time, then click "calculate". This calculation does not factor in workdays or holidays (see below!).
Use January's calendar: Begin by identifying on a calendar, note that it’s Thursday, and the total days in February (trust me, you’ll need this for smaller calculations) and days until next year (double trust me, you'll need this for larger calculations). From there, count forward 3 times by years, adding years from 13 Jan.
Use Excel: Regardless of unit type, I use day calculations here. Type =TODAY()+3 into the cell. If you want to add weeks, multiply your day by 7 and months/years will take their own calculation due to the changing days of the week.
