13 months before today was 11 Apr 2023, a Tuesday. Subtracting 13 months in the past is usually just counting from May; however, longer calculations will push us from 2024 into 2023 or further. Even if the calculation remains within the year, I usually take note of the 11 days left in the middle of May to prep for an additional calculation before April. But that’s all there is to it - understand the month, if 13 months will change the year, season, or fiscal calendar, and subtract your dates.

Use May's calendar: Begin by identifying 11 May on a calendar, note that it’s Tuesday, and the total days in April (trust me, you’ll need this for smaller calculations) and days until last year (double trust me, you'll need this for larger calculations).
