250 days ago from today was 18 Sep 2023, a Monday. Subtracting 250 days, or about six months or more, introduces a complex layer of our calculation. Since today is Saturday, the calculation could be adjusted for work days. But If you just want the overall days, nothing will change. Currently, in the end of of May, we must consider the 25 days left out of the 31 to gauge the weekends involved. Understanding the number of weeks remaining in 2024 is crucial to determine whether we're looking back into a previous year. My advice? Start with weekly or monthly calculations before jumping into a 250 day calculation.

All of our day calculators are measured and QA'd by our engineer. Read more about the Git process here. But here's how 250 days ago gets calculated on each visit:

- We started with date inputs: used current day of 25 May, then set the calculation - 250 days, and factored in the year 2024
- Noted your current time of year: 250 days in May will bring us back to April or further.
- Counted backwards days from current day: date - 25 May, factoring in the 25 days left in May to calculate Monday September 18, 2023
- Did NOT factor in workdays: In this calculation, we kept weekend. See below for just workdays or the fiscal calendar

- Current date: 25 May
- Day of the week: Monday
- New Date: Monday September 18, 2023
- New Date Day of the week: Monday
- Counting backward from September puts you back into the summer! September is the official start of fall.
- This calculation crosses at least one month. Remeber, this will change our day of the week.
- The solution crosses into a different year.

- Calculate it: Start with a time ago calculator. 250 days is easiest solved on a calculator. For ours, we've already factored in the 25 days in May + all number of days in each month and the number of days in . Simply add your days and choose the length of time, then click "calculate". This calculation does not factor in workdays or holidays (see below!).
- Use May's calendar: Begin by identifying 25 May on a calendar, note that it’s Monday, and the total days in April (trust me, you’ll need this for smaller calculations) and days until last year (double trust me, you'll need this for larger calculations). From there, count backwards 250 times days by days, subtracting days from until your remainder of days is 0.
- Use excel: For more complex days calculations or if you h8 our site (kidding), I use Excel functions like =TODAY()-250 to get or =WORKDAY(TODAY()), -250, cell:cell) for working days.

250 days is Monday September 18, 2023 or could be if you only want workdays. This calculation takes 250 days and only subtracts by the number of workdays in a week. Remember, removing the weekend from our calculation will drastically change our original Monday September 18, 2023 date.
