10 weeks from today will be 11 Jul 2024, a Thursday. When planning across a month or multiple months, we must account for the 31 days in May. We’re 29 days from the end of May, so being in the early part of the month, adding multiple weeks will put us into the early part of of June and potentially into the next quarter.

How we calculated 10 weeks from today

All of our day calculators are measured and QA'd by our engineer. Read more about the Git process here. But here's how adding 10 weeks to today's date gets calculated on each visit:

  • Started with date inputs: starting point: 02 May, Units to add: 10 weeks, and year: 2024
  • Noted your current time of year: 29 days in early part of May
  • Added 10 weeks from current day: 02 May, factoring in there are 29 days left in before June
  • Did NOT factor in workdays: In this calculation, we kept weekend. See below for just workdays or the 2024 fiscal calendar.

Tips to get your solution: July 11

Thursday Thursday July 11, 2024 is the 193 day of the year or 52.88% through 2024.

  • Current date: 02 May
  • Day of the week: Thursday
  • New Date: Thursday July 11, 2024
  • New Date Day of the week: Thursday
  • Counting from May shouldn't give you too much trouble. Low number of holidays to consider.
  • This calculation crosses at least one month. Remeber, this will change our day of the week.

Ways to calculate 10 weeks from today

  1. Just calculate it: Start with a time from today calculator. 10 weeks is easiest solved on a calculator. For ours, we've already factored in the days in + all number of days in each month and the number of days in 2024. Simply add your weeks and choose the length of time, then click "calculate". This calculation does not factor in workdays or holidays (see below!).
  2. Use May's calendar: Begin by identifying on a calendar, note that it’s Thursday, and the total days in June (trust me, you’ll need this for smaller calculations) and days until next year (double trust me, you'll need this for larger calculations). From there, count forward 10 times by weeks, adding weeks from 02 May.
  3. Use Excel: Regardless of unit type, I use day calculations here. Type =TODAY()+10 into the cell. If you want to add weeks, multiply your day by 7 and months/years will take their own calculation due to the changing days of the week. To find 10 weeks workdays, convert to days but use =WORKDAY(TODAY(), [number of days], [holidays]) into the cell. [number of days] is how many working days you want to add, and [holidays] is an optional range of cells that contain dates of holidays to exclude.

10 working weeks from today

10 weeks is Thursday July 11, 2024 or could be Thursday August 08, 2024 if you only want workdays. This calculation takes 10 weeks and only adds by the number of workdays in a week. Remember, removing the weekend from our calculation will drastically change our original Thursday July 11, 2024 date.
