Valentine’s day (or Saint Valentine’s Day) is the time of year you celebrate love, usually the love you have for that special someone in your life.
From today, 2023-04-01 until Valentine's day, there are 319 days. That means there are 45.57 weeks, 7656.0 hours, and 11.39 months until then. We use this calculation quite frequently on a calendar even if we don’t realize it. Countdown someone’s birthday, anniversary, or special date is important to order gifts on time! If Valentine's day is special to you, do your future self a favor and set a calendar reminder for a day before and make it repeating. You’re welcome.

Each year on the 14th of February (I hope my girlfriend didn’t see that I had to look that up) couples around the world celebrate their love for one another through gift giving and date nights. Those who aren’t in a relationship will usually send cards and gifts to the person they long for, perhaps even asking them to be their valentine and spend a special night out together. Valentine’s Day, as with many holidays, is very commercialised today what with the main focus being chocolate’s, flowers, and dinner at fancy restaurants but this day was routed from an ancient Roman tradition celebrating Saint Valentine.
Who was Saint Valentine? Why is his saint’s day so romantic? The story is that Saint Valentine was a priest in third century Rome. During this time, the Roman Emperor Claudius II had decided that for his armies to work more efficiently they needed to consist of single men, the theory being that single men had a lot less to live for so wouldn’t be as fearful of death. Whilst there is some logic in that statement, Claudius believed it to be absolute and as such banned all young men from getting married. Saint Valentine disagreed with this philosophy and even more so with this law, so he would continue to perform marriages for young men and women secretly, thus Saint Valentine’s Day is all about romance and love. Unfortunately, Saint Valentine was put to death when the emperor discovered his secret marriages and the Romans believed that romance was the best way to commemorate him, and this celebration of romance continues today.
What should you expect from your average Valentine’s Day? Well, if you’re an individual who is in a couple you should make sure to celebrate your relationship and shower your significant other with love, gifts, and affection (it’s what Saint Valentine would have wanted after all). Those who are leading a single life but perhaps sitting on some feelings for a special someone, take this opportunity to confess your love! Saint Valentine didn’t want those young men of Rome to wait so why should you wait around!

There are 227 until Valentine's day.
In the business world, time until a certain date is complete different. Ten business days is two calendar weeks and one month is only twenty days of production. This changes how much time a corporation working off the traditional 9-5 system of time calculation can actually spend on projects or work. This can add a layer of complexity onto time calculations.
An oversimplification of calculating business days until Valentine's day is counting the number of total days 319 and subtracting the total number of weekends.
